“The Man is a Lazy Fool”

This man, who is he, he is a lazy fool; who is this man, he is the man who will not eat the bread of life, who will not taste and see that God is good.  Pretty harsh words coming from a Christian, surprise, surprise, surprise; they’re not my words, they’re God’s.  Pro 19:24  A slothful man hideth his hand in his bosom, and will not so much as bring it to his mouth again.

God said, actually commanded, we are to study His Word, without excuse or reservation unto complaint.  2Ti 2:15  Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Some might say, that doesn’t sound like a loving God to me;  2Ti 2:15  Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

How many are deceived by false teachings, whose lives are destroyed, all because they would not lift a hand to help themselves or to feed themselves.  2Pe 2:20  For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.

Let us back up to the first scripture;  Pro 19:24  A slothful man hideth his hand in his bosom, and will not so much as bring it to his mouth again.

How can a man know Christ, the Living Word of God, without first putting His hand to the till so to speak.  How can a man begin to plow into the field and turn up the treasures God felt compelled to hide, but yet could be found, if he does not apply himself.  How can a man sow seed if he will not flip his wrist, to cast the seed?  How can man reap a good crop, if he first doesn’t take the time to inspect the seed, for we know, you reap what you sow.  How can a man have good bread if he doesn’t take the time to harvest and grind the meal?  How can a man bake his bread without sitting through some heat, sometimes through the fiery trials he’ll go through.  How can a man eat the bread if he won’t raise his hand to his mouth?  All these questions and statements, apply to the Word of God, how can a man ingest Christ the Living Word, without eating of His flesh?  Joh 6:51  I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.

How can a man be the overcomer he is called to be, without proper food to help sustain his strength, and proper weapons for the warfare?  God made it plain;  Mat 10:22  And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.

Mat 24:13  But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

Mar 13:13  And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

Mar 13:20  And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect's sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days.

According to scientists world-wide, due to the effects of the latest earthquakes, the earth has been shifted on its axis and the days are now shorter.

How can a man believe, if he doesn’t know God’s Truth?  Mar 16:16  He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

They weren’t just talking about the flesh being, but rather the personage, which is the very character and nature of God in this statement.  Act 16:31  And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

Just to simplify matters, I used the word man, but only as a representation of all mankind, please take no gender related offense here.

I wonder how many will stand before the Lord come that fateful day of judgment before His throne, and be cast down in tears, all because they missed the point.  Mat 7:21  Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

How many, or rather how few, will there be in the day of battle, who will be called chosen and faithful, the overcomers.

Rev 17:14  These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.

Now the question arises, hopefully, am I one who will make it, not deceiving myself or being deceived?

It is my sincere hope, this message will stir the hearts of all, and getting to know Jesus and the power of His name, will become a major priority in your life and hearts!

God bless you all as you dig for the treasure, God said was yours if you just apply yourself

What Each Area of the Site is Meant For: Blogs - This is your personal space. This is where you should post thoughts that are not intended for extensive further discussion. Observations from personal study and events that have occurred in your life belong here. Unless your post ends with questions or makes it apparent that discussion is to follow, it should probably be a blog. As discussed later, blogs are limited to those who hold to historic Christian beliefs. Forums - This is for open discussion relating to the topic posted. Dialogue is encouraged to stay on topic, so if a side conversation begins, open a new discussion. This is where the majority of the activity has taken place so far. Topics should remain general in nature, while in depth discussion on narrow topics should take place in groups. Groups - This is a place to congregate with people who have similar interests and positions in order to have open discussion. The conversation in here is not required to remain on topic, so it is more ready to follow rabbit trails. This is where you should go if you want to gather with a particular kind of theologian. Before initiating a new group, we ask that you consider posting a question in the discussion forum area to see if there is enough interest to justify a separate group. The reason we encourage such action is that, in the event that a group is inactive for 6 months or more, the moderators of Scriptural Studies reserve the right to close down and delete the group due to inactivity. Events - This is available to anyone that wants to post an event that you think the members of Scriptural Studies may be interested in. Contact Denis, Rabbi Del, Rifkah, or Marti for more details on advertising. Our Attitude of conduct: In case you missed them on your way in, take some time to become acquainted with the conduct we expect on this site. You may find our Attidudes on the main forum page. Our purpose at Scripural Studies is that the conversations move in a Gracious way. We define Gracious in the following way: 1) Not closed minded 2) Not self-promoting 3) Not characterized by mass amounts of cut-and-paste proof-texting 4) Not characterized by mass amounts of cut-and-paste from other places 5) Irenic 6) Not slanderous 7) No spamming 8) Perpetual venting bitterness 9) Not confusing or disruptive But in all things you'll be welcome here
